So go big or go home!

Because if you don’t dream big for your life, who will? Time is short, the world is huge and beautiful and amazing, and life is here to be LIVED OUT LOUD.

If you hesitate in doing what you want most to do with your life, you’ll hesitate yourself right out of a life of “I’m so glad I did” and into a life of “I wish I had.” When your time is up, you don’t want to look back and see regrets. You want to see a life well-lived. You want to see friends made, adventures had, lessons learned, and things worth remembering. You want to see that you knew what it meant to be alive.

Are you living the life you want most to live? We are, and you can too. We figured out a secret about how to turn the life you want to live into the one you’re living: there is no secret!

You can do anything you can dream up, if you can turn it into a plan.

There’s no special formula to take something big out of the air and put it into your hand. We’re nothin super special or any different than anyone else. So how did we do it? One day we thought:

“If we pretended we had ANY option to choose from, what life would we want to live?”

What if you DO have any option you want to choose from? Who says you don’t!? YOU say you don’t! So what if you stop saying that? Then what!!? Where do the limits begin, and what happens when they end?

We asked, if we have the whole world to choose from…Where should we begin?

What is so exotic and so foreign and so intimidating and so “AAAGH what were we thinking?” that we couldn’t even imagine it? What place do we have the energy for now, but might not later? The answer was clear. We looked at each other with fear and knowing and “LET’S DO IT!!” reflected in each others’ eyes: Asia.

And so we scoured maps, wiped out an entire city’s collection of guidebooks and language books, learned some Chinese (badly) and some Japanese (even worse), tried to bear down at work (worst of all), and curtailed all non-VITAL spending (oh, to drink decent beer again…), and planned out a WICKED ROUTE for the next 2½ -3 years through the land of What-in-the-world-did-I-just-eat, What-the-heck-did-that-guy-just-say, and Excuse-me-but-how-am-I-supposed-to-go-to-the-bathroom-in-THAT??! And you know what?

Doing what you dream of doing is easier than you think.

And so we traded the swivel chair for the front seat on an elephant, the cubicle for the sparkling beaches of Thailand. We’ll swim with whale sharks in the Philippines, walk along the Great Wall of China, explore the streets of Tokyo, touch the base of Mt. Everest, live in a beach hut in Thailand, stand in front of the Taj Mahal…and enjoy the HECK out of our lives while we’ve got em!
