Eagle Creek Leg Stash
Review written by: Ray
While traveling abroad, it is always a good idea to separate your money, identification, and credit cards. You never want to keep everything in one place.
Fortunately, there are a number of options to help you with this. You can use a waist belt that fits underneath your shirt or pants, a belt with a secret money stash pocket, a neck wallet, or a leg stash.
For our trip, I chose the Eagle Creek Leg Stash. It is a soft dual-pocket wallet that can be strapped around your calf with two comfortable velcro straps. The velcro is extremely nice because it allows you to keep the stash tight, even after you’ve shed a few pounds.
The wallet is made of ripstop fabric so it is durable, and the pockets are big enough to fit passports, extra cash, and credit cards neatly. There is even padding and a moisture resistant fabric on the leg side of the stash to keep you comfortable and your valuables sweat-free.
My only complaint with this particular design is that the soft portion of the velcro is starting to come undone. However, it has endured 5 rigorous months of travel, and, without modification, it might survive a couple more.
If I had a chance, I might shop around some more and compare different designs, but all in all the Eagle Creek Leg Stash has been a good piece of gear.
