REI Flash 18 Pack
Review written by: G
This would get good marks as a good little lightweight daypack that you can shove into your bag and take up minimal space when it’s not in use, except I’d had it not two weeks when the straps started fraying where they connect to the bag.
We hadn’t used it for any heavy loads or anything, so there’s not really any excuse for this, especially for the $30 price tag. It’s possible this was just a defective bag and that REI would exchange it for free for us if we brought it in since we signed up for its membership lifetime guarantee etc. service, but that doesn’t really help us out from across the world at the moment.
Lest this happen to you, I’d say it’s good for a lightweight, “collapsible” daypack, but if you find a reasonable, cheaper alternative, then that would be acceptable.
Bring or don’t bring?: Maybe Bring
