If you’re going on a long-term backpacking trip in Asia, you need these. Period.

We did “real” laundry but 4 times in 5 months of sweaty travel in Asia (do the math – mmm!! It still makes my mom twitch), but with only two pairs of this underwear, my nether regions were always clean, happy, and fresh.

I did end up getting a third pair just for convenience’s sake; that way if I didn’t feel like “washing” one day I didn’t have to, or if it took a particularly long time to dry in an especially humid or damp region, I wasn’t stuck with dampness. A simple vigorous rinse and then hanging them up to air dry is sufficient to keep them clean between launderings.

I got the bikini briefs and got all three different colors – tan, white and black – so as to easily differentiate which pair is the clean one. The white won’t stay white, but it doesn’t really matter. It’s underwear. You can get by with just two pairs, but they’re small enough, give yourself the luxury of three. This underwear is one of the best gear purchases you’ll make for your trip. Believe me.
